FUND Donations
Giving to Project Rudisha means giving nearly 100% of your donation to mountain crews in East Africa.
Your monetary donations go directly into the educational grant fund. Recipients use these funds for English lessons, college-level courses, healthcare, or starting a side business for income during the off-season.
$20 = English lessons for a month
$100 = health insurance for a year
$400 = a mountain guide certificate program
$800 = a 2-year safari guide certificate program
We continue to work directly with several guides based in Arusha, Tanzania, ensuring funds go directly to those we have designated.
Gear donations
An annual gear drive will seek donations of new and used gear that can be taken back to East Africa and distributed to guides and porters.
The drive will seek technical hiking gear that is not readily available in East Africa - including backpacks, base layers, down jackets, technical hiking pants, hiking boots, and other gear needed in mountain alpine climates.
